Every gift to the Foundation is attributed to a concrete action to improve living conditions for children and their families.
In order to make a true difference and establish the habits and practices required to ensure good health in later life, intervention is required in the early years of a child’s life. For this reason, the Foundation focuses on reaching children through their families. It is our belief that the family is an important multiplier and ensures long term, positive impact on the community.
Most Canadians have suitable housing and access to the services they require. Unfortunately, in many regions of Peru, people live in shacks they have pieced together with cardboard and other found materials, without running water, electricity or sanitation. The Foundation contributes to improving living conditions by:
Building sturdy houses
Buying beds, gas heaters, mattresses and bed linens
